
Alexandra Rose Raisman (born May 25 April 1994) is an ex-retired American artistic gymnast, and a two-time Olympian. She was the captain of the 2012 "Fierce Five" and 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams that were winners in their respective teams competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she took home gold medals for the team and floor competitions, as well as the bronze medal for the balance beam, making her the most recognized American gymnast in the Games. She was awarded an Olympic gold medal for team competitions at the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas as her teammate also took home gold. Raisman took home silver medals for the individual all-around, and floor exercise. Raisman won silver medals for the all-around for the individual as well as for the floor exercise. She is also two-time national champion in floor exercise (2012 and 2015) and the reigning champion on the balance beam in the year 2012. She is also a five-time medalist at the national championships for all-around (silver, bronze, 2010 2011 and in 2015). In 2013, she was admitted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
